I’ve been a hardware IT for approximately 4 years in total. Never thought I’d prefer hardware to software, but sometimes it’s fun to get your hands into something and actually replace or fix things that are broken. If you’ve never done it, it’s a good feeling to fix something that was formerly broken!
As of mid 2025 I’ve repaired well over 1500 devices, mostly Chromebooks, some other office and school devices like laptops, desktops, projectors, etc. In times past, I also have done a lot of Telecom / Network jobs. Setting up modems / routers. Google Admin stuff to manage devices, lock missing items, unlock or reset problem devices remotely.
